I did use Qutebrowser for a while as well. It's a great idea, but it was missing too many features when I did try it.
It's entirely possible these issues have been fixed (hopefully!). Let me know what you think about Vivaldi if you get to it!

I've been using and enjoying Qutebrowser as a vim-inspired browser, but it doesn't support normal browser plugins. So I'm looking at giving Vivaldi and Vimium a try. Maybe the issues you experienced in 2018 have been resolved.

An income is defined up to a new one is defined. I am using this to track my salary in the system. And income is indeed global while earning have to be put on a specific account.

I am using income to track my regular monthly salary and earnings to track anything that is not regular like a bonus.

For incomes, I use Earnings. It turns out that Income is applied to all accounts, while Earnings is applied to each account separately, isn't it?
Can you please clarify, are Incomes applies only to the current month or all the time?
The matter is that I do not use Budget as my earnings are not defined.

Are you talking about the Incomes link under Accounts? It's simply your income. That way you can have an income different from the sum of your budget categories.

The fortune section is the legacy system before the assets and assets values. If you are not using assets and are using fortune, this should be taken into account into the reports. But it's quite possible that new reports dont' take fortune into accounts because I don't use it myself.

Basically, fortune gives you the total net worth at a single point in time while assets give you tracking of each of your assets.

That's exactly it.

Just keep in mind that the protection is quite basic. If you run on a server exposed to the internet, I recommend adding extra layer of protection.

I am doing some basic changes on the code and this will available as as docker image now both for building and for the web interface, this should make it slightly easier for people to use it.

Hi, Baptiste!I finally figured out what ID contiquous means! This means that the numbering of records is continuous.
For example, you have created expense record number 49. This means ID=49. Then you deleted it. The next expense entry will be number 50 or ID=50(not 49!). I ran into this in the terminal app; In the server app, it's not so obvious.
I am becoming more and more convinced that without women, nothing happens at all!
Moreover, thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to use the server app! I also like that logging into the server requires a password.
Counting money needs protection.
It's a must have, trust me.
P.S. If you insert the entire record at once, then there are no empty lines. So that's all right.

All the gc command does is make all IDs contiguous. It's not necessary for remote access.

At the beginning, I only wrote the web interface so that my wife would have access to it. But over time, I have added more features on the web interface so that I don't really use the command line anymore.
Also, I have limited time and writing guides is not interesting so that's not my priority.

For irregular earnings, you can use the "earnings" module, that's exactly what it is for. But it's true that the app was made for monthyl salary in mind which is what we have in Switzerland.
Why don't you put 100 EUR into earnings and then 80 EUR into expenses?

If you see a missing feature, you can open a feature request on the Github Project and I will see what I can do.

P.S. That's probably an issue with Disqus, the commenting system, I don't think I can do much about that.

As I understand it, this is necessary for remote access to server command. For example you placed your budgetwarrior_web folder at some Dropbox directory and then open it from another PC.
I don't need it right now, but it would be needed for some other users.
By the way I don't understand why You not explained how to access server command at the budgetwarrior_web page. I think very few people will look at the Issue №15, in which you explained to me how it's done.Meanwhile, I did not know that it was possible to run commands through the browser. This is a very interesting and unusual solution for me! I want to note about the matter that I was looking for a program exclusively for the terminal, but the server command is really handy.
Some words about functionality. I don't make money all the time. Money comes and goes through me. It would be convenient to have a place where such sums can be counted. For example I received 100 EUR. Then I placed them at Reciepts. Then 80 euros went into circulation, and then I can place 20 euros at Earnings. It isn't the Fortune option as I see. This is handy when you are doing some business. When the money does not come to you in equal installments from month to month with your job.
P.S. When I copy and paste some text here additional blank lines appear in the text window.

The budget gc command is really optional, it will only make the IDs contiguous, but the app works well without it. I have not run it in years.
Are you saying you want to access that feature from the web app? I could add this, it's simple enough.

Doing changes on a bash script is already a nice exercise!

But adding support for commas in budgetwarrior on the console and/or the web interface is a bit more tricky :)

When I created ~/.budgetrc from ~/budgetwarrior_web/budget/budgetrc.sample,
I coudn't logging at the server through my Firefox.

This file budgetrc.sample has extra spaces at end of lines.

Interesting about **dot** in Switzerland.
I cannot write a code.
I have a little **awk** script at my **.bashrc** file. I took it from some site. Unfortunately, this site is no longer active.
This script was written by a wonderful person! Due to this script I refused from any calculators at all. With it I can do at my terminal the next:
**2.5+1,6+3.8+4,6**
, - with dots and commas and receive result as **12,5** .
I changed it a little - added decimal values.
